For more than three decades Morton Shaevitz has been helping individuals and organizations to grow and change through his work as a clinician, teacher, author, consultant, and speaker. As a member of the Division of Internal Medicine at Scripps Clinic, he developed a number of behavioral health programs, and his interest turned toward medical and geriatric psychology. He is currently the chair of the section of Geriatric Psychology for the California Psychological Association. He has served as a member of the Leadership Council of the Stein Institute for Research on Aging and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry (V) at the University of California-San Diego. Morton has four adult children and four grandchildren, and he and his wife, Marjorie, live in La Jolla, California.
