Rahaf is a Digital Foresight Strategist and Author who has a deep passion for exploring how technology is affecting the way we communicate, work and play. As the co-founder of Red Thread, a consulting agency that provides clients with out-of-the-box thinking to tackle strategic challenges, she leads organizations across industries in understanding emerging technology trends and identifying, articulating and acting on areas of strategic opportunity.
Her second book “The Decoded Company: Know Your Talent As Well As You Know Your Customers” will be published by Penguin in Februrary 2014. She is currently working on her third book, an experiment in digital publishing called “ArchiTechs: How to Work Govern and Learn in a Hyper-Connected World.” Her first book, “Yes We Did: An Insider’s Look at How Social Media Built the Obama Brand,” was published in 2009 and documented her experiences as a part of Barack Obama’s New Media team during his Presidential election campaign in 2008.
Rahaf is a Global Ambassador for Sandbox, a World Economic Forum Young Global Shaper, and a member of the Summit Series Network. She sits on the Board of Taking it Global, and is on the Advisory Boards of companies like Enstituteu.com, OneLeap.to & SyriaDeeply.org. She writes about technology and innovation at The Mark News, Techonomy and The Next Web.
Formerly, Rahaf was the Associate Director the Technology Pioneers at World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland where she identified disruptive start-ups that were using technology to improve the state of the world. She have been speaking about New Media and Technology since 2006 and is currently exclusively represented by The Lavin Speaking Agency.
